The challenge that I have to live up to is building the team that will work with higher effectiveness and efficiency. I started a month ago with the in-depth analysis of the character of individual contributors. I talked to each of them and identified their strong and weak sides.

In course of the two months I did my best to transfer knowledge and experience I earned in previous institutions. On one hand, due to the merger prospect with another financial institution we have to be more dedicated to the service but, on the other hand, we need to teach the clients how they can do things by themselves rather than rely on our prompt service all the time. Of course, the most difficult thing is to change old habits. I encounter some resistance here, but it’s natural: people resist the change.  However,  after a few frustrating days, team members usually give me positive feedback: that they actually benefit from the implementation of the new ideas.

I think there is just one person I will have to let go. He has problems with accepting negative feedback. The only thing I can do is to prepare the repair plan for this person, it will be the second one in his career. If it is not effective, I will need to put an end to our cooperation and terminate the job contract.
