Being determined, hard-working and talented may not be enough if you are competing with some of the world’s most powerful companies. That’s the lesson many start-ups have to learn recently as they face the competition from the tech giants which are making effort to consolidate their dominating position.

Start-ups have been driving job and talent creation and innovation but they find it increasingly  difficult to attract investment as one day… they may have to compete with the giants like Google or Facebook.  Also, the giants are financing the next generation of research at the scale that nobody else can afford… Furthermore, as the salaries are skyrocketing and working conditions are excellent, there is less initiative to leave the company and start something on one’s own.

On the other hand, the existence of fewer start-up may pose a great opportunity  for the bravest and most innovative ones. Determination may actually attract investors and more funding.
